The BEKO brand is an integral part of the vast Koc Holding Durable Consumer Goods Group. Koc embarked on its international journey in 1990, and BEKO was chosen as the designated export brand for household appliances. Under this distinguished trademark, Arcelik, a Turkish company, has been manufacturing reliable household appliances since its inception in 1955.

The visionary behind this remarkable journey was the renowned Turkish engineer, Vehbi Koch, who initially ventured into the sale of building materials. For two decades, he devoted his efforts to the Koczade Ahmet Vehbi Trading Company. However, as time progressed, he recognized the need to broaden his horizons.

In 1944, Koch founded a pioneering company specializing in car sales, marking the first of its kind in Turkey. Then, in 1955, a pivotal moment arrived with the registration of the BEKO trademark, courtesy of Bejerano. Interestingly, the initial plan was to produce tomato paste and canned food under this brand, but unforeseen challenges loomed. Thus, Beko Ticaret A.S. was born as the new arm of the company, and its partnership agreement with General Electric led to the production of electric bulbs—a first in Turkey.

In 1959, Arcelik achieved a significant milestone by introducing its first washing machine, followed by a refrigerator just a year later. This marked the inception of a diverse range of household appliances, gradually becoming a widespread phenomenon.

As a result, by the early nineties, BEKO technology had garnered immense popularity. Arcelik formulated a strategic development plan, assigning each plant the responsibility of producing specific types of products. The construction of modern plants commenced, leading to significant expansion efforts until 1996. During this period, two additional factories were established, producing washing machines and air conditioners.

Presently, BEKO air conditioners have secured a prominent position in the market, distinguished by their exceptional performance and affordability. These air conditioners excel in maintaining optimal indoor conditions, and they are proudly manufactured in Turkey, sharing production lines with the globally renowned LG air conditioners. Furthermore, in the scorching Turkish climate, where temperatures can soar up to +33°C, VECO products have emerged as the most favored brand of HVAC equipment.

Many BEKO air conditioners feature outstanding antibacterial filters and air-cleaning filters that effectively eliminate health-hazardous impurities from the environment while maintaining the ideal room temperature.

BEKO is equally dedicated to environmental responsibility. The company adheres to the principle of using only safe refrigerants, with many air conditioners employing the eco-friendly R410a refrigerant. This choice offers the added advantages of lower energy consumption, efficient operation, and cost-effectiveness.

Vehbi Koch consistently prioritized customer needs, extending beyond product selection. His commitment to enhancing customer comfort led to the establishment of a home delivery address system for equipment.

Today, BEKO is a comprehensive producer of both small and large household appliances, proudly ranking among the top five European manufacturers of household goods. With a presence in over a hundred countries worldwide, BEKO products are cherished by customers for their unwavering quality, reliability, modern features, and user-friendly design, embodying the brand's commitment to excellence in every aspect.
