LG Air Conditioners and Energy Solutions, a distinguished division of LG Electronics, is dedicated to the design, manufacture, and sale of cutting-edge air conditioning and air purification systems tailored to meet the needs of both residential and industrial applications. Additionally, this forward-thinking division is at the forefront of energy-efficient solutions, offering an array of products ranging from solar panels to lighting systems and even a "smart home" system.

The origins of LG's foray into air conditioning date back to 1968 when the company was known as Gold Star. It was during this period that the first LG air conditioners made their debut. In the pursuit of excellence, LG collaborated with experts from General Electric Corporation, further enhancing the quality and capabilities of its products.

The air conditioning unit, initially integrated into LG Digital Appliance, underwent significant evolution. In 2009, it emerged as an independent entity under the name LG AE Company. Demonstrating a global vision, LG appointed six regional leaders responsible for Europe, the CIS countries, the Middle East, Asia, Central and South America, and China.

The extensive manufacturing footprint of LG Air Conditioners and Energy Solutions spans multiple countries, including China, South Korea, Turkey, Thailand, India, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and Vietnam. In the case of the Russian Federation, systems are sourced from factories in China, South Korea, Turkey, and Thailand, ensuring widespread accessibility.

Throughout its journey, LG has achieved notable milestones:

  • 1968: Introduction of the first GoldStar window-type air conditioner.
  • 1985: Pioneering the first GoldStar inverter split system in South Korea.
  • 2001: Launching the world's first design air conditioner, ARTCOOL.
  • 2004: Surpassing the milestone of producing 10 million air conditioners, setting a global standard.
  • 2008: Achieving a remarkable feat as the first company in the world to manufacture and sell over 100 million household split systems, solidifying its position as an absolute leader in the industry.

LG Air Conditioners and Energy Solutions remains dedicated to innovation, quality, and sustainability. With a rich history of pioneering achievements and a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of consumers worldwide, LG continues to redefine the standards of excellence in air conditioning and energy-efficient solutions
